Ability to create, produce ideas, be innovative, have originality, use your imagination, build something new – all this for us could coincide with creativity. A term used in many occasions nowadays, especially if you think about the digital world and communication.
Many people consider themselves “creative,” perhaps often abusing an attribute not always easy to assign. Those who call themselves creative automatically loses credibility because, on the contrary, the truth is precisely that “if there is a person who is not safe to be creative, that is the real creative.”
This potential must be exercised with the constancy, without too much acting safety. In many occasions, there might be difficulties in finding something innovative creativity.
It is not easy to innovate in a world like ours, marked by a veritable explosion of content conveyed by technology. All can create content, but good content is just the creativity expressed by human minds.
The creative material may come from the individual, but it is shown that the success comes from the collaboration. Many obstacles may take place in the creative process, which can lead a team to unpleasant results, delays in deliveries, and unsatisfactory work.
How to overcome these obstacles and arrive at a creative idea?
1. Externalize “disorder” creative, not hide it
Creativity is confusing; it does not follow precise patterns but a linear path. An individual can alternate moments of inspiration to periods of nothing. This may coincide with an obstacle, but that should not limit the creative process.
The solution is not to put too schematic organization rigidity or to the design process, but rather that of “open the curtain” to the collaboration. Allow the participation of all team members, encourage the exchange of opinions and ideas, these are precisely the starting points for a creative process.
The team does not have to hide this “disorder,” but making sure that ideas are born precisely from those certain situations. Get out of the box, pay attention to detail, create opportunities, it is the greatest insecurity that maximizes the creativity.
2. Develop new collaborative habits, according to their skills
In a design team, particularly in marketing, there are many different skills required. To create content that has various forms and developments, you need the design to meet the demands of a world characterized by channels and an increasing variety of technologies.
Skills involve several different people, and it is not always easy to promote good cooperation. The key lies in helping these different skills to create a unique picture of its kind, projected toward an optimal design.
All the people who are part of the team should thus break their habits, their thought patterns, to aid collaboration and building successful idea, made up of small parts of each skill available.
3. Making people understand the creative process, not the end result
Sometimes the problem of a team is that it has developed a project that looks outstanding, but then is not understood by the customer or the person who has requested that specific project. Many times this happens not because you do not know the final result, but because it does not understand the creative process itself.
To be screened to success, it is not necessary to tell clients how to understand something or pretend that they are capable, but try to approach them and involve them in the creation process.
The effort is to make it clear to every working step which are the elements that can make getting positive feedback, by specifying that each of these may contribute to a more satisfactory and effective overall result.
All obstacles that may be encountered in a creative process are “human” factors but can be overcome simply through an open and effective collaboration, leading to a more homogeneous design, convincing and innovative.
By breaking down these barriers and encouraging collaboration within the team that involving stakeholders related to a specific project, you can get creative process fluids and optimal results.
